What my friends gave me for Christmas

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Groucho, Dec 25, 2008.

  1. I'm finally building my 38 Chevy Gasser. With a LOT of help from my friends Andy and Steve, this is what we did in 3 hours on Christmas. Sorry for not fully documenting. The frame rails were just tortured on this thing. PS-THANKS, "Termites Ate My Chevy" for the rails!

Reminds me of one weekend in Albequerque!

Nice work. No question on replacing the front frame rails!

  11. Wow, that's gonna be a nice little car. Those rails were pretty trashed but a little bondo reinforced with screen door wire and the'd be good as new :D

I Like the gasser look on the 38. Had one in colorado in 83, same color exactly. When I saw yours about fell out of my chair. mine was Mostly a stock conversion with original motor. I'll try to send a pic if i can find one. If yours is out of colorado I have some early pics of when I drug it out of a field in 1974 south of denver for $400.00 thanks ...ghost

Real cool. Love the 38 chevy.

  15. Any chance the car had a Pontiac engine?

Looks a lot like the gasser that the owner of Titan Engineering used to run.
