I am also building a 34 Chrysler, well when the pan is done I will resume the Chrysler build. Search my id for the thread to that.

  8. Nice pix, keep em comoin guys !

Panic, as I mentioned, we all have our preferences and as axle said, both brans have their pros and cons.

If my bearings needed replacement after 5 years, 50K miles, then so be it.

i think you missed my point about these being time warp machines and that maintenace comes with the territory. As for speed, who gives a shit when 30-45 mph is all thats allowed around town here unless youre on a highway and then its at 60-70 anyways. Too many speed cams/nazis and radar etc.

And besides Axle is right - those injuns are the BEST looking bike to ever come out of the US.

    In my humble opinion.

    Of course lol !!

Seriously though, what are the REAL weaknesses/stregnths of the EL/WLA bikes and of the 40-48 Chiefs? Curious

    Keepin it rollin....

During the late 80's I was doing a lot of motorcycles & paint work. I had a customer that owned a harley shop and decided the store needed a fuel Harley. I had finished the lettering Just in time to clean the one-shot from my brushes and haul ass to the local winter car show! The paint on the wheel ring was still wet, It didn't get mounted until the second day of the show!

My brother built this one. It's a 72' Harley but built to look like a board track racer...

My first cycle (late '8o's) was a '42 M21, bobbed and painted black with white lined red scallops on the tank. Originally built for a side-car rig, it was slow but took off well.
