Well I'm in Tennessee but my wife is from Oswego/Montgomery/Boulder Hill area due west of Chicago. We're on our way up next week to visit her family for Christmas. I'm always bored as hell every time we go there-no body to talk cars with. Anybody have anything going on next week close by that I can slip away to?

 

I'm in that sliver of land between Rockford and New Milford

 

I'm near Addison and Cicero. Around the corner from the Chevy Shop, which is struggling to keep the lights on. Razbo and Roger have been there since '68. I'm going to do a photo-shoot next week with some old pics, too. These guys need business. They sell and rebuild new and rebuilt sbc and bbc stuff, usually cheaper than Sumshit and no shipping charges. Best price on crate motors, too. And, if you're unhappy you can throw the stuff back through the windows. Cash talks. They have some old racing parts, too.

 

You're about an hour away from the SW Chicago HAMB & Egger's breakfast. It starts at 7:00am so you gotta be an early riser...it's never boring! It's at Chuck's BBQ at 79th and Central, Burbank.

 

I am in Peoria...there are afew of us around these parts. I will be attending the hot rod 101 class this winter...looking forward to checking out the shop and meeting some new folks.

 

I'm from Fairbury in central Illinois. I guess the closest breakfast around for us would be Farmer City, maybe we'll try to make it sometime.

My wifes from Oswego/Boulder Hill. Like Oldbobsign said, join us for SW Chicago HAMB and Eggs.Saturday the 27th at 7am. About 45 minutes to an hour from Oswego. Have breakfast at the old resturant in little downtown Oswego, full of memorabilia from the drag strip, its cheap too.Take a cruise[20 minutes] to Plainfield and check out Midwest Hot Rods if theyre open over the holidays. Bring hats and gloves. Cold up here.

FYI, the previously mentioned holiday party/open house at our shop got postponed to this coming Thursday, Jan 8.
