Folks Of Interest O/T, So who here was Army?

    OK, so we have had the Navy step up and show their numbers and it has had me thinking.....
    How many HAMBers were Army?

    Don't think I have to mention I was, greatest time in my life and I ot to work with the greatest people this world could offer, Australians, Kiwis, Brittish, US,........

    Took a year off and then joined the Air Force Reserves working Ramp for the next 5 years.

    The Air Force was much cleaner and I got to travel the world!!!

    How about still in the ARMY?

    Been in since 1998. Currently a Combat Medic.
    Deployed to OIF June 06- Sep07 3rd Stryker BCT

    Army 1970-73. One tour in Nam as a Huey doorgunner/crewchief. Approx. 800 of flight time which included a lot of bullets flying my way. Got shot down once and made it out.

    active army cav scout from 86-91 joined the national guard in 06; guess i'm trying to re-kindle my lost youth.

    12B Combat Engineer. In from '02-'06. Was part of the first wave invasion into Iraq in '03. Spent a year there doing combat operations as a machine gunner grunt on an explosives breach team.

    My car now has "Disabled Veteran" plates.

    Well how long do you have to be in the army to qualify?? I just got back from Iraq this past year even though I am in the NAVY we did go to fort Jackson for 3 weeks for ARMY training so I was in the NARMY LOL got to admit they were a great bunch of guys down there.

    37 Fiat, its OK, I lived on a Navy Air Base for a while so does that make me NARMY too? Or just plane old (B)Army!

    Stationed in Kitizingen, Germany. Lot of good times and served with some great guys...

    79-91 ...82nd,25th I.D., 1st I.D twice in combat and twice divorced....can't remember wich one the flash backs are from......but I'd do the Army thing all over if I could

    I personally was not in the Army, but my dad and several uncles were. we have family in iraq now and wish to salute all who have served, we all appreciate your service and wish you all well.

    Army '73 to '75 - mostly in Ft. Riley, Kansas (1st Infantry) motorpool. Not my finest hour (lots of blown opportunities). Did go to Germany for a month ("Reforger" excercises) and had a blast.
    Good news: The base opened up a huge hanger for us to work on our cars. I built a street/strip '65 Nova there and when I fired the 12 1/2-1 smallblock w/ flooded cylinders and coil wire off, the resultant explosion blew the hood right through the roof of that building! Ah, memories.....
