I am building a custom 1950 mercury and I am going to put the 1953 Buick trim on the sides.....does anyone know where I can get this trim cut, welded and restored to fit the mercury doors.

  3. I had mine done by a local trim restorer, most of the good ones can do this.

I would like to know more too, I just picked up a 47 plymouth with a few bullet holes through the trim. Thought I could just reweld with the tig and polish with 2000 sand
    paper after?

  5. they say one of the tricks when repairing stainless trim is to use a piece of a like trim to repair with to help avoid discoloration.
