Actually we are on the third night of working on it, but anyway.

The design is really starting to take shape the more Matt (Seret Customs.com) and I talk about and screw with the car. We worked a few hours last night and it was just like the fifties, bro! It was even in sepia tone...amazing!

I got the frame going while Matt made a bunch of noise.

For the frame, we put the body on a sheet of wood, squared it to the edge and traced it. Then we marked where the rails will extend in front of the firewall. That was cut (shitty by me) as a template and followed for the first rail. Then we attached uprights to the first rail to use as a jig for the second. I felt like a retard having to ask Matt to tack the shit for me. I can MIG pretty damn well, but not TIG, and that's what he has at the shop.

Matt worked his craftsman magic on the rear corner of the body. He shaped a really nice piece and it's not even all the way done yet.

We are getting some pretty killer ideas. This thing has a shit-load of potential and I can't wait to roll it!

p.s. You might be seeing it at Bonneville or El Mirage.

    The plan...

We reshaped the cowl to door transition to have a little more of an old Indy car-ish look

    I love this build.

BTW, Why are you guys bundled up like you're in Alaska? Did it drop to 70 degrees?

    So.....

The DeSorta body, frame and grille are for sale! Make me an offer on 'em!

I still LOVE this whole setup, but I need the cash and the room to finish the new deal.

    You arrange pickup or shipping.

Kick ass car Kirk....I'll warn my mom to watch out for it at her house...haha

But a serious question...I've been thinking about how to build the floor in my '33, and notice a lot of guys are just welding the floor to the frame. Without rubber body mounts, does it transfer much vibration?

    Thanks,
    Gary

It's something we invented last night. We call it a Remote Callmatron©. It's a phone with no wires. I don't think it will ever catch on though.

Obviously, yes. It was original use for OSB when we first invented it.
