Well, in the last few years my driving habits (and more specifically, the LAW) have caught up with me. Too many tickets of all variety (speeding, wreckless, etc) have made it very expensive for me to insure a fast car, or for that matter, more than one car. Am I looking for sympathy here? Not a chance. I am the victim of my own actions, and I have no one else to blame for my situation. I made my bed and I'm laying in it. I've always driven fast cars, and I've always driven them fast. I guess it was only a matter of time before my driving priveledges were lost. I just feel lucky that after a year and a half of not having a license, the state of Florida was nice enough to let me get another one. Anyway, the point is that I'm your average lead-foot car guy and need an outlet for my affliction, so I'm thinking about building a drag car. It would my first track-only car. I'm thinking a beater 55-56 chevy, leaning a little toward the gasser side, probably with a stroker small block to start out with until I can afford a big block. So, show me what you guys run at the track. Give me some inspiration.
Slingshots and altered wheelbase funnys are my favorites. Steve Barcak www.pontiacheaven.org <DIR>Hosting 11th annual Pontiac Heaven, show, swap, drags, party and all around good time. this is the car my brother, dad, and i ran in the 90's. the best we ever ran was 8.40 at carlsbad. we normally ran 8.90 at palmdale and bakersfield. the last picture is with different motor, we were running over 10 sec then. we sold it to another hamber a couple of years ago.
Used to be this and soon to be this.I myself have had a run in with the fuzz over my driving habits.Your good when you can get arrested over a traffic violation ,without speeding ,laying rubber, or changing lanes like i did ...
Plus I have the Last Logghe Altered, owned since new, awaiting restoration All these cars are powered by Ford inline sixes. What a waste, eh?

Not HAMB friendly and Not mine but a friend of mine and a couple other friends who crew on it, they let me go down and hang out with them and help a little till my car is ready to race (hopefully this spring, NOWHERE near this caliber of car) These guys just won the SCSN in Vegas, this is a very fast car and some of the COOLEST guys ever.
Here's mine. Unfortunately it's been apart since 2005. Hoping to get it back together for next year for the 20th anniversary of it's first pass down the dragstrip.
