It's definitely coming along. The temporary grill is looking good. Justin has been cutting and buffing for at least a week. I'm very proud that our shop is getting to finish it up.
Just got to get the front bumber rechromed, the new grill is being made( the one in it is a temp for now) and more buffing.....but it`s getting REAL close
Jeeee-sus. Looks like Bill Mitchell himself designed it and GM Styling built it for his daily driver. So frickin' cool it ought to be illegal.
Wow, you guys are doin a helluva job. I just caughton to this thread and just read the whole thing. Amazing work and ideas.
Today was the first day Ive really gotten to drive it in about 4 years, still some more to do as that the grill in it is a temp, the new one will have a lot more horizontal bars, but for now, finally enjoying driving it!
That car looks so "right". Really like it was designed that way. I'm lovin' those tires too. Beautifully done.
Just freakin' beautiful...a guy in Oklahoma made me a beautiful grille for my 63 Riviera that matched up perfectly to the grilles on the fenders...if you are going for the same look that thing will be absolutely sinister! Bill Mitchell and the boys would be proud of this one
Is that all Caddy sheetmetal besides the headlight area? Got any pics of the work so we can see what was done?
We have a guy working on that, same number of bars as the headlight covers, same spacing. SHould be killer. I have some pics from fixing some of what was there, but we only fixed what was already done and didn't do all the metal work.
The ultimate compliment for a car like the Rivullac is one people start saying...Detroit should have built that
Thanks for all the compliments guys, really makes me feel like all the time and bullshit I went through to get it done was all worth it...I also need to thank z-man and his crew Justin and Aleck for doing such a great job finishing it, unfortunately I dont have any more pics of the build so you`ll just have to use your imagination
