Nice work! Here's my two cents:

-the grille kicks ass, leave it!
-I think the rear overhang is too long as well, I personally would bob it
-I would probably run the same size tire in the rear to drop the back down, but hey its your car and your style

I think the thing that makes this car is the Section and Stance. Because of the rear tires it take it out of the Custom catagory and places it more as a Hot Rod. Look at Bob Bleeds sectioned '50 from the Mad Fab videos, that thing was super bad, and I think that this car screams that same sort of feel.

If I were buying this car the only changes that I would make are the grille (pehaps a sectioned '51-'52 Chevy grille which is what I think yours started as minus camshaft) the rear tails which could be a number of possibilities and the ridges on the rear truck pan. These are the only things that I think will date the car in a couple of years. Other then that I really couple see a couple guys form the '60's cutting and hammering this car into what it has become now only probably not as well done.

Here's a photoshop of the overhang shorten and the deck lid
tapered down at the rear. But with all the skills that you
have shown I'm sure the finshed product will be a great custom.
    just the way it is.

Car is phenomenal, but the camshaft grille has to GO. It's neat looking, but not fitting in a car with that much actual work in it. Run a floating bar grille.. similar look but more inline with what the rest of the car is - which is badass!!!

thats some nice work, i kinda like that grille idea too. i agree with some of the others on the length of the rear quarters, think a little shorter would look a little better, but it looks nice the way it is too. good attitude too. lots of folks post whadda ya think thread, but have no intrest in other peoples opinions.they seem to be seeking praise why ask whadda ya think if you dont care right?

i think it was sectioned too much, should have only been 1 &5/8inches.should have only been chopped 1 inch and shortened 2 inches.camshaft in grill should be verticle thru the hood and could be also be the hood ornament.other than that i really like the steering wheel.

  20. i think you should leave it as is...with all that metalwork don't you want to show it off? and everybody don't you see what i'm getting to? he's probably done enough work already!

I like the grill. The metal work is top notch as well. But I do like the photo shopped version with the rear deck lid sectioned and the rear of the car shortened.. Just my opinion.

Excellent work! I love it! Welcome to the HAMB John.

  23. Hey thanks for everyones input! I would agree that the rear of the car is proportionaly a bit too long 'but changing it is out due to the position of the side mounted wagon fuel tank and shape of the channeled trunk floor The bumpers are stock flipped and narrowed welded in . Rear gravel pan is also stock. The cam is just too cool and odd to loose! It's also going to have door handles ....gasp!

It should be LOW, and the rear reminds me of a Ghia.
