Hey guys,I don't post here alot but I do buy stuff as I need it.I know alot of you guys are a wealth of knowledge so here is my question-
I have the opportunity to buy a model T axle assembly hub to hub for a good price but what can I use for brakes or can I sub the hubs with something different so I can use drum brakes? What wheels can I mount on the front as well?

Thank You in advance too all who can help.Scott

Not a great idea. Go with atleast a Model A axle and juice brakes. Gives you more options and parts range. Good luck and happy hunting!

    Get a model A or a 30-40s axle... don't bother with the T axle!

The brakes on T rear ends are just emergency/parking brakes. The pre-26 ones actually use cast iron shoes with NO linings.
The actual brakes on Ts are in the transmission.
Best to use A stuff with 39-48 hydraulics if you want real brakes.
