Nothing like the first time you drive it, is there? Even if it's only 20 feet! I'll never forget the first time I drove the A-bone under it's own power! Made it three blocks and ran out of gas, LMAO.

    Nice goin' Gator.
I always thought those were the sweetest looking trucks, and you are doing an excellent job making it even sweeter.

I am bummed though to hear you sold the Caddy.:(

Thanks for all the comments and encouragement guys. I hung the doors and hood yesterday and got a little primer on it. Today I shortened the running boards and bedsides 4 inches, necessary due to the shortened wheelbase. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

Here's a pic I took with my phone today - a little closer. Waiting on the windshield now, the glass guy called in sick today.

Looking good! I also used an S-10 seat. They are a natural. I have one in my black 40 truck and picked one up for my 40 project truck. I shortened this one a little more to keep the seats from hitting the door panels. I think I took 1" out of each side. Do you remember what year of seat you used?

I also took a couple inches out of the seat pan and used the S-10 seat adjusters. That way I could sit in the truck and see out the rear view thru the back window. My black truck I have to duck down to see out the rear.
