    Higher compression...and that's it.
The best flowing head was the 302 J code heads made in 1968.
The one flaw on 289/302 is the exhuast side flow. Opening up the heads and letting them breathe gives some serious power.

some mighty fine rides here fellas!

you know when I got my motor done... Originally I
wanted an 84 302 done... turned out it was trash...
the engine builder had a complete 86 mustang setup..
the heads are E6... and he told me that if I could take
a beating from the hot rod guys for having them he would trick me up a set that would
out perform any E7 stock head out... dunno.. im no head guy..
but looking at a stock E6 and the ones after he got done.. look alot diff.
not sure but I think he put differnt valves in it... and ground off alot of stuff.
anyway.. its built for flat top pistons... and apparently 86 was the year they did that... and some fancy swirl quench head design... that was shrouded by something that made it not worth it.. so they went to the E7.. and apparently thats what he fixed

Anyway... love to hear your opinions on this.. I love hearing people tell me they arent worth it.. but two racing engine builders here love them. quite a conflict of information there.

Here is my version of '32 w/302! I might have cheated on the stroke a bit. While the DUI is big and ugly, kiss makes it a good idea. Use aluminum heads if you can. Have fun:D

Collecting the parts for a 331 Ford in my 62 Falcon project.
I have the 3-2 Blue Thunder intake, 4 Autolite 2100's, 86 T5, or C4 ( have not decided yet ) 68 -302 motor from 68 Mustang GT, and a couple of dizzys., and 351 Exaust manifolds.
I should be working on that car by late summer 09.

I love mine.. I intend on replacing the large HEI with either a hei with a pack or a ford electronic.. not sure.. but until I get all my body work done and wheels and tires bought.. it will keep the big ol hei.
