James 427 has got you guys all shook up.He can't be serious. LOL I dig chopped tops but I agree with everyone else that is one I couldn't chop.It could be a cool rod without cutting it up. Jay Lenno would like to have that one.

Either that guy in the first pic is a "little person", or I saw those giant wheels at SEMA on a Hummer!!:D..........I think it's a pretty cool car.....I wouldn't chop it.....But I'd like to see it hot rodded "resto" style....I think that would be a cool thing to stare at......

A really big car needs a really big motor - like an Allison V12 or something like that. Can you say, "Blastolene3?"

Restoration be damned - cut it up and cruise.

Seriously though, money almost always determines what happens to a car like this. It won't get chopped.

    Bummer.

Getting close to firing it up soon. New Magnetic Solenoid for fuel on/off to burner, adding an 100psi fuel pump so I can turn it on when I get lazy. Had the blower motor rebuilt. Getting excited.

Well, no news on the Stanley. Its been sitting since last year. I just dont have the "steam" to work on it. Its future is unclear at this point.

That is a bad ass car you have there Mr. Laferriere...

I love steam powered stuff... We've got a steam thershers show here every year and everytime I go I turn back into a 5 year old kid... not much of an age jump from 20 to 5 though... It's just something about the whistles, all the noise, and the clouds of steam pouring out of iron giants...

Good luck with what ever you do with her...

Chop it 18 inches, put a big block in it, set it on a s-10 frame, add some 24" gold plated spinner wheels with the all the hydraulics and when you die you'll spend eternity burning in HOT ROD HELL.

  24. Please don't hot rod it ....

Come on your kidding... right ? A guy that lives nearby me bought and chopped a nice tall T coupe, I felt like a friend had been butchered. If you still feel the urge to cut the car Please sell it to someone that will give it the respect any surviver deserves. Hey there has to someone here that will give you something to chop and if not hit me up.

Damn what a huge car! As much as id say chop it, it would just be wrong to do anything to that car. If anything id sell it and buy something you can chop and not feel guilty about haha
