GM 12605117 - New from GM performance parts, partial engine assembly

When used with 76cc heads compression ratio will be 8.5:1
When used with 64cc heads compression ratio will be 9.6:1
When used with 62cc heads compression ratio will be 9.8:1
When used with 58cc heads compression ratio will be 10.3:1

I can't find out from GM what thickness the head gasket should be for
these combos. With a set of 64cc heads, will a .041" compressed
thickness gasket give me the 9.6:1 compression ratio I want?

    Thanks in advance.

Assuming the deck height is zero and for the specs on the piston dish, the compressed head gasket thickness should be .035". This will vary if the piston has negative deck height. Your best bet would be to find out from the supplier what the deck height is and find out what they are going to recommend. At the lowest you will prolly end up about 9.2:1 with some piston recession. You will never notice a difference that small though.

    Hey Olschool,

Thanks for the reply. I just sobered-up and realized that what I'm getting
in the morning is a partial-block. No heads! I can find the deck height myself.

    Stay loose
