should have had the doc redo your exhaust system while he was so close. I seem to remember it leaks a bit and can be rather loud at times. Good to see you on the mend.

That's the one all right, I can't believe the incision is only 4 inches long.

It's feeling better already, this morning they upgraded me to arm crutches. They are alot easier to manuver.

Awesome! Does it make that cool "wah-wah-wah-wah..." sound when you reach for a beer? (think of the sound the six million dollar man makes when he jumps)

Bionic is just another word for ruler.

Tomorrow is Home day, we fly out of Sacramento at Noon tomorrow, should be back in Antigo by 9pm tomorrow night.

It will be interesting to see how the hip feels after a 4 hour plane ride.

Bob, glad to hear that everything is going well and that you are on the home. I hope that the plane trip doesn't have any adverse affect on you. I know, for me, that any plane trip longer than two hours is something that must have been dreamed up by the Marquis DeSade.

    Good luck, my friend!

    Aweshum.

I really didn't figure it would be that bead...When I die, they're gonna have to recycle most of me, so I figure You should come out on top. a couple months from now, and the only time You think about it will be when You get to tell everyone about the most expensive Ball Joint replacement ever, and the sunsabitches didn't even make it so You could get to the greas Zerk.

My Father in law recently had both hips done at the same tim. by the time his stitches came out, he was off the crutches. ( I asked him if I could have one as a shift knob when he dies. shockingly enough, he said Yes. I guess that one is gonna have to take some getting used to. kind of a funky shape, all in all....)

How did Bob wear out his Old hip You ask?

    Kicking ass, of course!

    Hey Guy's and Gal's

    I'm home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got stranded in Mpls last night because it was to foggy for the plane to land at our regional airport in Wausau. Spent the night at a Ramada at the Mall of America and caught an early flight this morning.

It's good to be home !!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all of the comments and good wishes, now to get to the healing part.

    Hey Bob!

Glad to hear you're back on track.

Did you get them to add a few cubic inches to your unit while they were down there? Maybe a little port-and-polish?

    I won't even bring up a blower....

Anyway- Keep getting better and I look forward to seeing you again. It was cool to see you in print 'again' and you did a great job with the R&P install.

    Keep getting better my friend!!

Bob, glad to hear things are going well. Now just don't skip out on the physical therapy. My old boss had both of hips done. His only regret was not getting them done sooner!

Good to see you made it home OK. Hope the plane trip didn't wear you too much. what are the plans forward? Rest up and hit the road early next spring?
My knee replacement is working out really well. My daughter, who is a physical therapist, said I'm about two week ahead of the normal recovery. Wish I didn't have the other one to look forward to, but HEY, every day this side of the grass is a good day, some just better than others, right?:)

  24. Glad to hear you're home and happy with the results Bob. It would be sad to go thru all the anticipation and grief for nothing.

You sure look better in those hospital pictures that in the "IT Hurts!!!!!!" photo:)

    Can Maggie still outrun you?

    Heal up!

Poor Maggie... I bet you're runnin' her ragged, Bob. Drag it out as long as you can, cause she ain't gonna wait on you forever. Enjoy it while you can. Good to hear you're home safe and recuperating. You should be pretty mobile by turkey day. Take care and do your therapy...........

We should have had a HAMB-Thrash on Bob's knee... could have saved him some $$$ and all that traveling...
