Just thought i'd show my new project-a 1938 lasalle coupe.
I'm going to stay pretty true to the original design of the car, with the exception of front discs and a 12volt system.

The flathead will remain, with cyclone heads and burrell 2x2 intake(already ordered both!)

no front or rear bumpers, and stock 38 cadillac 3 on the floorv tranny.

What do you all think-any cool ideas?

    P.s.-trading for a ford ain't what i mean by cool idea!lol!

    Many thanks!

    Definately wide whites!

It runs, just thought i'd add a couple of speed mods, but gonna stay true to her original design.

I've been running after a 2x2 and a pair of heads for my Caddy flattie for ages. Where did you get yours?

For ages? Your 14!!! I looked at your website, and saw a lot of political blog, but no car!

But since you asked, i ordered the heads from cyclone, and the 2x2 from burrell. I think i'm going with a couple of 97's, although a few guys thought i should go with 94's. What does everyone think?

I'm thinking of an isky cam-what are you running?

How do you like the setup?lol!

Haha, it was supposed to be a car blog but I figured I could get a bigger audience with politics. I ought to take that out of my signature.

I'm just running a stock cam. I'm building more of a warmed over custom than anything. The heads aren't on cyclone's website- did you special order them?

Yes i did. And that political blog when a guy thinks he's going to a car site is somewhat b.s.

Yeah, believe it or not, it was a car blog at one point, hence the name. Sorry 'bout that. Thanks for the help! Good luck with your car.

Well the Caddy Cyclone Heads are kind of a HAMB exclusive.

We don't normally advertise them, nor were they in our 1949 Cyclone Products catalog. The website is based on that catalog.
Cook had already thought ahead as the Cad OHV's were here since Sept 48,So he discontinued the mass production of the Cads and ventured into engine/trans adapters for the coming wave of OHV's that were soon to flood the market.

The heads are available by special order and utilize original tooling and are not reproduction, just continuations of the runs that we have done since the late 30's.
Let is know if you need a set.

I can tell you this-speed parts are hard to come up with for these motors, but i thought it well worth the price! I'm already thinking i should get another set for my next project! Here's a pic of the polished cyclones.

    "95 SVTL-What will a set, set one back "

A set of the Cyc/Cad heads raw retail for $1495.00 shipped.
May sound a bit pricey, but keep an eye on ePay and see
what a set of Edmunds go for (Like $2k-Mind you, that's for
a used pair of heads vs a brand new set).

It is unreal as the Cyclones are extremely rare as we never
really advertised them and the ratio of production was 20
pairs of Edmunds to 5 pairs of Cyclones.

We use original tooling and this is just a continuing part of
Cook's legacy. (pictured below is InDaDirt's set which was
to be my set 001,Flanking them is his Edmunds intake, heads.)[IMG]
