digital cam or old style? old cam would be shutter speed, dont know bout digi, cept to hold still as posted, lol.
Digital or film, doesn't matter. You're punching the shutter button and that shakes the whole camera. And your automatic camera is selecting a relatively slow shutter speed. Hold it steady, let your breath out, and gently squeeeeeze the button.
Dude I didn't know that they had earthquakes in Miles City Mt. Either you need to get on solid ground or just go ahead and have that morning drink !!!! >>>>.
Another thing would be to mount the camera on a tripod, hit the 10 second delay and let it rip. No shaking...
Being into photography myself, take a deep breath and hold it in. Supports the chest. Don't let it out. Hold the camera so that your left arm acts as a support (under the lense on an slr) to steady the shot and your right to push the button. Try steadying your left arm on a table or something to steady your shot.
If it's a digital I've found that when using the "indoor" settings my pics turn out like that. Just use regular old camera mode and they might improve. Otherwise, the advice about staying still and pushing the button smoothly is right on target. Literally, same things that would improve marksmanship would improve the crispness of a camera shot. Don't be afraid to lean against something either, it works. And take 3 of every shot til you get confident with the camera. Then you can back down to 2. Digital shots are cheap!
