Never seen it but there was a '58 Ford at the MOKAN last year that resembled it, Maybe its the same guy. Bttt
I built the car and it was last seen in Mo. so I was just wondering if it was still around or is it a billit car now !!!
I remember seeing that car at the Hot Rod magazine supernats in Ohio in the '80s. It made a huge impact on me. We were driving my dad's 57 210 in primer with moons. .
Bump for ya. I'd love to know one of my favorite 57s is still alive. If it has been pro-touring'ed or restored.....don't tell me.
I would actually sell every car, every project, and all my parts that I have for that one car. Anyone on here can run a vin # for me to see where it is now Rusty
I know we usually call a local tow service to check vin #s in Mo cause they have access to dmv in order to contact owners of tow-ins.
No it would never be the same. I remember riding home from the Dargstrip in this car, I remeber my dad banging through the 4 speed, I remember when he restored it, I remember when he painted it in the driveway, I remember cleaning the underside chrome at the indoor shows, I remember riding in it to Indianaplis, I remember my dad having to change pushrods on the side of the highway in the middle of knowhere after the latest and greatest Comp cams stuff bit the dust, Farmer pulled up and had a sbc beside his barn, pulled thes stockers out and put them in on the side of the highway and on we went. these memories just cant be duplicated with a different car. In Heat where are U Okay vin does not pull up in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Loiusiana.
I can run it in CA if you want. My dad never had a cool old car but I'd love to find his '84 Cadillac. It was the first new car he ever owned. Anyway, let me know.
In the late 90s there was one that looked exactly like that a dad had bought his 18 year old or so kid. Lived over next to Lake Arlington near the Yacht Club. Someone ran a red light around 98 or so and the car was no more. Don't know if it was the same one, but it looked identical.
It's freaky, I have lots of similar memories about our 57 and some of them are from the trips to The Nats where we saw your car. Dad's still got ours in his garage. I hope yours turns up in-tact. Brett
