Hey guys just got this home and am jazzed that winter project time is around the corner (for us where the white stuff falls) as long as I can scrounge up the $$ I'll be working on this to go in the '50!!!



gotta get the John Deere green offa the trans But the best price in town for it all, FREE!!! Yes I finally got a freebe worth celebrating!!! One of the best hot rod guys I think I'll think I'll ever know.

Poly's wake right up with a cam and intake (what doesn't?) and they are still available.

 

Actually the Hemi cam & intakes are a bolt in. I'd junk the tranny & get a 392 adaptor & put a 727 on it.

 

Does anyone make a 4 barrel intake for the 315-325 motors?

There is a wealth of information and parts info at www.forwardlook.net on those engines. That's where I found the 4BBL intake and carb for my '56 315. I see your valve cover decals say "Red Ram" where on mine it says "Super Red Ram". Anyone know what the difference is?

I think what you have there is a 1955/56 DODGE 240 or 270 CI. RED RAM POLY. Won't know for sure until you get it apart and find some numbers.

I have a 270 Poly. that looks like yours.

1955 270ci Bedix Stromberg Model WW 2bbl carb 2 speed powerflite trans. Sorry want to post more but out of town for work and connection is crap.
