For the past month I've been collecting photos of Omaha area car shows and cruise nights. I finally have a little spare time to post them.... Enjoy! If you have questions about any of the cars pictured, I may be able to answer them, or at least direct you to someone who can. I'll start with a (once a year) Friday night cruise night in Plattsmouth, NE. There were over 300 cars there! Pretty big, considering the size of the town.
More from Plattsmouth This would make a great tail-dragger custom Original paint (supposedly) WOW Mmmm, Y-block!
This '57 Ford Custom pulled into our Wednesday night cruise night a couple weeks ago and was eerily familiar. It didn't take long at all to figure out it was the one I sold about 6-1/2 years ago! It's been in Omaha the whole time, but I haven't seen it since I sold it. It's on it's second owner since I sold it. Here's what it looked like when I owned it (needed to be lowered - I was learning! ) This is THE one I should've never sold. I put a ton of miles on it during college and a couple years after. I put a 302 in it - ran great and was fun to drive.
More cruise night photos This one has original paint and is an original bench seat, 352, 2-barrel, 4-speed car Gotta throw a cool bike in there, too...
West Point, NE car show Another cool bike (actually only a couple years old) This, I like... and it's even a Chevy!
West Point, NE GREAT looking '32 Sedan from South Dakota Forgive me... It may not belong here, but it's a very nice and tastefully done car.
West Point, NE 1,000 hp blown BBC - he does race it and gets kicked off tracks for going too fast. Vintagehotrods (Jerry), his wife, and their cool pickup
Hey Malcom...nice pix...almost went to West Point this year...how many cars do they get there...??? And whaddya mean he "gets kicked off tracks for going too fast."...??? Never heard of anyone getting kicked off a trak for "going too fast"...!!! Especially a drag race... R-
I think there were somewhere around 900 entries at West Point, but I could be wrong. When I made the comment about being too fast, I should've clarified - his ET was too low - his chassis/rollbar didn't meet the rules, I guess? Could just be NHRA sanctioned tracks - I only talked to him for a short time.
Man!! I have never seen any of those cars........................Oh wait maybe its because I never get out to that stuff.............maybe next year
this car is from wahoo, we helped him paint it in my dads body shop, he wanted to learn how to paint so we said bring it down.
Sweeet Malcolm, now I know what you been doin when your not texting Mea........ uhh I mean drinking and hanging out at the waiting room. The black deuce 3 window is killer. Gary
