what a cool weekend. this is my 3rd time. if you've never gone you got to go at least once.

took a truckload of pics... here's the first batch of HAMB downloads. tried to post different cars/views that have not already been posted... some, like this Willys should be included in everyones post..

  3. That red Topolino is kick ass! One of the coolest ones I've seen for the street because the tread and wheelbase are right on for a fuel altered. It has "the look" 100%!

here's a teaser for those who like racing action. I had to photoshop out a bunch of photographers parked along the barrier. takes a bit of doing but worth it I think.

  13. Damn Mike, your pics kick ass!! I'm not sure how you get all the people to clear out of your shots...no matter how long I wait, there's always some lurker who doesn't get it.

I didn't even see it :( Last time I go to an event when I'm on call.

I don't even like people behind the car if I can help it. sometimes I photoshop them out if I can. usually while waiting for people to move I'll shoot other cars from the same spot so I'm not just doing nothing. sometimes I'll shoot a car I don't even like just because no one is standing in front of it.

down at the end of the stands in "choppertown" I wanted a shot of an A roadster and coupe together. I took 4 or 5 shots over the span of a couple of minutes. then I'll blend all the shots together to end up with one shot and no people.

mostly it's just waiting with the camera attached to my eye and people get the clue eventually.

  16. Any info on the red white and blue '64 Comet in the pictures?

  21. The Mondello & Matsubara car was like a polished jewel and the work on it was amazing. It deserved that Rodder's Journal cover and then some. And the guy who owns it, Carpo...what a nice guy. He introduced a handful of us to Joe Mondello, who was on hand and an absolute riot. We all shared burritos and talked dirty about girls. He ruled.

I made my debut driving a funny car,..and also made the return debut of the funny car itself. The first Veneys Vega now appropriatly named
Vics Vega, this car has not been down a track on the mainland USA in over 36 years,..and what a fine place to bring it out to run it the CHRR.
Had a blast, the car was extremly fun and ran flawless, had trouble staging and kept rolling the beams before the tree activated,.so sorry
no time slips,..BUT I will be at Pacific Raceways this weekend to finish shaking the Vega down and running it all out,..come on out and say hi if your in the neiborhood of kent washington.

    Thanks
