Who needs lights? Cars are way more fun. Do it tell your wife its for her. She'll buy it.

Take the deal, you can sell the truck easier than the non runners. Beside your wife may dig the truck, and that's win win!

An old Ford will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no old Fords. Surely your wife can understand this.

And that reminds me of my favorite Hemmings ad ever, burned into my brain 30 years ago:

"1941 Studebaker Champion, fair condition. Wife says it goes or she goes. Your choice, $400."

As of this afternoon's phone call, no, I didn't get it. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I didn't realize how much I really wanted one untilit was dangled in front of my face with a reasonable price tag.

  9. Aside from the panel being running, driving, and just plain kool, this swap sounds like more of a sure thing than waiting around for someone else to call about buying 2 non-runners. What if you can't sell them? At least this way, worst-case scenario is you realize you really do need the money more, and you sell the running panel. Easier to sell something that runs and drives.

Yeah, and then you suddenly want it even more when it looks like you might not be able to get it.
