From the looks of the windshield it is a '54 or '55 1st series.

Looks like the 54 I got sitting in my yard. The grille would be the tell-all ... although the bottom of the front fenders looks 54-ish to mine eyes.
    Is it yours? Cool 5-window.

Very good chance it's a first series 55. Chevrolet made a mid year body change to the usual 55/57 type body. good looking rig ,with a little love and labor could be great.

Another way to verify if it's a 55 1st is the driveshaft. The 55 1st has an open drive line, 1st year for a chevy pickup.

It can be hard to tell on a modified truck. I see five lug nuts on the rear, making it very unlikely its has the original axle. No door handles, but it does have wing windows, meaning the doors are '51 to '55 1st. It does look like a curved windshied, which would mean a '54 or '55 1st.

Does it have a serial number? I think the 2nd and 3rd characters are the year on a '53 to '55.

I assume you have no title or registration to this vehicle? Did you ask the person you acquired it from what year it is? Nothing in the glove box...body serial number?

I cant even SEE the windshield in that pic its so blurry !

    Also '54 & Early '55 grills, I thought were the same ?

I can see it has a '54-'55 Flat Top bed, But only '55 have the Revele stamped into the side ?

My 1st series '55 only had Hood front & side trim different & bed side reveles.. My buddys '54 were different
