What do you fill your Muncie with?

    Just wanted to hear your opinions beliefs and experiences on what fluid all ya all fill you four gear with....What say you?

    I filled a couple of them with big chunks of metal when I had a GTO.

    You're gonna 50,000 different answers here.

    Ask a transmission rebuilder what he recomends. Tell him how your gonna use it, he'll tell you what oil to use.

    I've ran sticks on everything, atf, motor oil, gear oil, synthetics.
    I've ran autos on atf, motor oil, kerosene.

    Listen to a trans guy. They got the experiance.

  15. Sta-Lube 85W90 API/GL-4 Gear Oil.
    A lot of the newer gear Lubes are API GL-5 which is reported to attack brass synchro rings and bushings that are used in the older transmissions.

  17. 90 wt. valvoline works fine. I also found that a small furry animal usually takes up the slack for a noisy trans.

  20. I keep it simple too, good old 90 weight has always worked for me, plus it smells great when you get it in your hair.

    I know how to spell "Muncie"!
    Eroc805 corrected his first post, he had a typo in the original thread title.

    I thought maybe I was an idiot and did not know what a "Munice" was, so I googled it...

    I was just giving him a hard time.
