Ahhhhh, I saw the bug-LIGHT years ago too, it's not a crime!!

  5. Well, the one I went to see today was a clapped-out POS. The hunt continues.

Should have kept the '55 semiphore sedan I bought from Boyd Coddington years ago. :(

    Hi guys...

I had the warehouse guys pull all the old dirt track Firestone molds we have in the warehouse... We are gonna open em up next week and take a look at them. I looked this morning down inside a couple and I saw a tread design in two, looks like the rest are not dirt track tire molds but slicks. Will let you know later...

For those of you gwan to the HAMB Drags, say hello to Eric Gullett and Charles Pack. Eric is bringing his drag car.

    Best to ya...

what i want to know is why it's so damn hard to make a radial that doesnt look like complete shit. Hurst has super cushion radials that look like 'plies. pure genius. At least offer and 80 or 83 series radial that has bias proportions, then maybe i'd buy a set.

Not to spin this thread even further off course but....

Corky, are you guys familiar with the old Firestone DELUXE CHAMPION RADIAL?
I had a couple that were 195 75R 15 in size and they were positively the best looking radials I've seen. Semi squared shoulder with a tread pattern similar to Pirelli Cinturatos. They look like they were probably one of the first of the mainstream radials. My set officially gave up the ghost a couple of years back, need more!

I've looked, but here's hoping you guys produce this some time.

Well since this old thread has been dragged up again, how about some 18" Grooved Ascot's?
I love the look of these tires and would love to have a usable set.

For 2011 we will introduce a Firestone 14/31-16 grooved rear. We expect to have them in stock around late summer. We are accepting back-orders now if you want to pre-order (which is what I suggest you do). It will be the same tread as our 14/31-15 Firestone and made in the USA.

    Thanks,

    Jess

Ive got 2 pair of Firestone 14.00 7.50x16 Double diamond dirt tires for $500 per PAIR. NOS with no rot or cracking - never mounted

  26. Well as long as we're bringing up dead threads and calling out Corky....

Hey Corky how about making some Firestone Drag 500's?

I'm sick of seeing Goodyears with yellow lettering and Hoosiers on older drag cars. It's just wrong!
