Still needs a little work. Rear wheel cylinder blew out, and still needs some alignment work and running a little warm but it will be there for sure.

 

I slapped a new battery in the Fairlane today. Started right up. I might even take it to the shin dig...you just never know!

 

Might????? That car needs to be there!

 

You don't get in without it......... it's a CAR show! Sheesh and you just got it, you have to bring it are you crazy? You can even drag a trailer behind it to bring your race car (Valve Cover car) if you need to. We let trailer queens like that in.

Eric I wont say another word. I thought it was to good to be true. He has two days. I know he can do it.

This is going to be one helava weekend!

What time is the VC Drag Race?!?!?!?! I don't wanna get there too late...and you know I'm not an early morning guy.

 

The Reliability Run roles in around 12-12:30pm and then all the crazyness starts at the park. It would be a good thing if you can be signed up early for the race. Did you name your racer? There are some sleepers out there with some cars being built so this could be real fun!

If anyone has some stickers for the side of the track bring them along. It is a race track so heck it needs some race type stickers!?!?

Got mine done last night. Set a land speed record on the office floor.
Probably should have spent some more time on the paint and bodywork, but as I was sweating away, it occured to me that
A- it is a valve cover ( okay, it was a pair of valve covers.)
b-I have to work on the wheels that are actually driving us there.

sooo, it ain't as pretty as it could be, but I defer to Enzo....

seeing as none of us have actual horsepower, I went with aero.

 

TWO valve covers?! What a baller! I only have 1/2 a valve cover and that's only because Mark passed it my way!

As for the Fairlane (now dubbed "Lois fairLane...clever, huh!? )...I've only really riven it about 3 time. Ihope it makes it, to and from the show, without any crazy antics.

 

It's all down hill on the way back. You will be fine.

looks like its gonna be a great weekend.....got a quick paint job on the buick..and it shows...oh well! the valve cover bracket racing is gonna be quite an event !!

 

Brang it on man. I'm used to covering up wavy bodywork.

 

I'll bet it doen't show as much as the one the previous owner put on my Fairlane! I hope it's either really bright out, or very dimly lit...

 

maybe we can find a tree to park under & rope off the area around our cars!! hahaha

Yeh...a nice 10'-15' viewing distance is ideal!

That rope better REALLY far away from my car! The front end is a coat of many colors and the rear looks like a blind epileptic worked on it! Oh well it runs, goes side to side, up and down and occasionally bursts into flames!! :O

 

My car runs. It just don't stop so good right now. Like, at all.
