I was looking for some opinions and maybe some direction. I have a 1960 Chevy wagon. I have the paint stripped down and I am getting ready to paint. My idea is to paint the body a black base coat shoot a dark red metal flake over the black and paint the top white. Black with red metal flake would that work or look gay.
It would look cool in my opinion. You really wouldn't notice the red until the light hit it, but it wouldn't have the depth that a flaked body would have obver metallic paint coated in candy. There was a thread on this exact color combination... maybe last year... with a few pictures of the results. Do some digging and you might find it
The folks at "Paint with pearl" have been helpful for pearls and flakes. http://www.paintwithpearl.com/metal_flake.htm
