I've actually racked my skull on the slanted B-pillar more than I've slammed a knee into the A-pillar kick-out. But I've done that a couple times too.

  6. Must be a tall guy problem;) . I dont' think I've heard F@CK!!! yelled so loud as when Dave(dvanecek) nailed his knee getting into my truck. I don't care who you are...thats funny right there.:D

followed by grabbing the knee, and that half-sobbing/half-groaning/half-chuckling "Oooooooooooh." Am I right? I didn't see it, but that's always what comes right after yelling "F@CK!" when getting into the truck.
Skull-knocking is usually just a very sharp "OW!" followed by sucking your breath in through clenched teeth, looking down at your toes, eyes squinted shut, right hand on your head, rubbing it hard, hoping it stops hurting real soon and nobody sees your eyes watering.

    I love my truck.

hey PKJ - here all the shots I saved.
I found this on an ebay auction.
he had said that he had a front clip for it as well, but no pics. Would have been interesting to see what his idea for that was.
this truck looks like an old asphalt modified.
It would definatly have potential to look like a cool show rod, but still alot of work to go.

my clapped out '62. When I finally tear into it again, I hope to finish it off in an early sixties vibe.

Damn...those trucks just have a shape you can make anything work with.
Even that race Mod version could be finished off awesome if you used the right attitude. (Get the Rat outta the brain...:D)

Anyone know the design story of these models? Who styled it and what else were they known for etc...
It's such an odd (yet beautiful) looking design that it must have an interesting story to pass on.
    The original trucks I mean...

here is a 66 long step that I got for the best price... free!
I played around with some photo chop, lowered it and put a visor on it...
6cyl 4spd, the usual rust and dents, I have enough stuff laying around to derust it a bit and straighten it out, so I am thinking of keeping it around as a beater.

I just picked up this 65 for $200. Came with a new chrome bumper, and lots of parts for the interior. What a deal huh!!!
