Projects 1940-47 Ford Truck Truck

Sorry about the Title mishap


I know alot off you guys dont like fenderless truck but here is my new project its a 40-47 Ford Cab with a 47 hood.. I took a 48 Gmc truck frame and cut the front suspension off and the rear hump of the frame and then I built a heavily Zd center setion. 12 inches in the front and 14 in the rear. Im not going to chop it. Thats the reason for the deep z's. I gonna shorten the bed down to 56 inches. Tring to keep every thing porportioned. Just going to be a driver truck for me. Nothing to fancy or wild. I have a 230 Flathead 6 out of a 59 Dodge truck with a 3 speed that Im going to use. In the rear Im using a 64 Chevy truck rear end with a 4 link similar to the stock 64 rear end 4 link except for the coil placement im going to place the coils over the rear end.

What do you all have to say and think?

You asked, so I gotta say No Thanks, just do not get this whole style, or lack there of!

 

Thats why im not chopping it some day ill find a frame and fenders and all that and build that 40 truck

 

or you make me an offer for the cab and if its in the ball park its yours

 

gives me an idea for a dirt tracker p/u race thing, weird ass vibe, but i like it

Except I'd use a Ford 300 six.
