Should be a plethora of tested-good used ones on eBay, I know whenever I part out a car I keep the wiper motor to resell if it's good.

Find a Hollander interchange manual and see what else would work. A friend of mine is selling one from a '69 Chev truck right now, tested and good, and it looks just like the A-body wiper motors. Who knows, maybe they're all the same.

Muscle Mopar ones are all the same as well, except the date code or stamping number, you have to adjust the clocking on the stops for the different body styles.

I would be surprised if GM wasn't the same.

  6. Wipers...we don't need no stinking wipers...at least here in SoCal...I have been able to use wiper motors from others of the same manufacturer with no problems...el Scotto is right about the clocking

  7. shaggy, post a picture and lets see it might be able to help. wonder if chevy truck of the same era is the same?

Are there any shop's around that can rebuild it for you?
I had one done local for my old 63 Impala, 2 speed motor, and it cost me around 80..
Many alternator/starter shop's will also do small electric stuff like those as well. That's what the place i deal with does as a main business.
    Just another thought

I thought i had an extra motor laying around here somewhere..
I'll look and if so, i'll check and see if it work's if your interested...it'll be much, MUCH more affordable that's for sure...even with shipping :)

NAPA also shows it. Part number 49112 for the two speed motor and 49119 for the single speed. Should run you about $100 bucks.

  13. Hell, I have one of those, out of the Gran Prix I parted out. They don't look a hell of a lot different from later wiper motors, to me. I think it's here in my car show stuff in the garage, PM me if you want it - I'll even test it if you like.

I think I marked it $40 or $50 when I put it in the crate.. the most action it's seen is a couple of clowns trying to pull the gas pedal assembly from the same car out from under it, but both of them too lazy to move the wiper motor out of the way.

  14. Ironically, Year One or one of those guys might be able to give you the best price. We were recently quoted $800+++ for a convertible top motor for a 67 Firebird from a local parts jobber, Classic Industries' price: $270.

Just about any A body car of that era should yield a wiper motor that will work.

  16. Ficken Wiper Service. About $100 these days for a rebuild of the motor.
Several guys have said their work is good.

If you trust buying on ebay, you can find a used dual speed "tested" for under $100. I believe the Chevelle uses the same motor?

There is a place here in Everett that rebuilds wiper motors. It's on Madison, westbound towards Rinkers, (formerly Associated Sand and Gravel) on the left hand side of the road, right at the "curve" . Can't remember the name, otherwise I'd post it. I'll try and drive up that way today, not far from me. Butch/56sedandelivery. P.S. this the same car you wrecked, and how's it coming?

Well, just took a short drive over there. Sign is gone, and the gate is locked. OUT OF BUSINESS! Sorry. Butch/56sedandelivery.

the one for my truck is about $230 for a 2spd, i have a one speed and they don't have it, so then i'd have to get a 2spd switch on top of that. i know your pain.

Yep this was the same one, this is an old post, i already got a new wiper motor a long time ago.

I think the 64's toast the body is so outa wack that i'd be near impossable to get a drivers door to fit right, so i picked up a '65 shell, and i'm pretty much gunna do a frame off with some of the parts off the '64 when the weather brakes, or i get up a garage, both should happen this spring

There is some hope for the '64 though, i've always kinda had a sick spot in my heart for a 4x4 camino, and if the door doesnt line up on that, who cares

The Germans were always polite. I belive that it should be stated formally:"Fecken sie".

I picked one up from Newport Engineering for my Olds. It was a little pricy $240, but works great (direct bolt up). Of course it only rains here when you want to go to a show, so i needed something reliable.
