Well it has beed awhile since a update so I thought since hurricane Ike finally let up and let the sun come out in Texas I would push the completed chassis out. Here it is all together. I got alot done this weekend and with the help of minenameisnotpete today we got the chop all laid out and ready to cut. Almost had the time to cut it but I was reminded that it was Sunday and I had some yard work to do and a honda Accord to give a bath

    here some chassis shots etc

Fantastic work. I would like to build one of these when I am done with my current project. Please keep posting when you cut the body. I love build threads like this.

Larry there was a perfect shot to get when we were rollin it out but of coarse I was pushing the front wheels and they both were pushing the rear wheels but nether one of us had the camera in hand. And with little ones you just cant seem to get them to do it all over again.

So how did you build your hat section for the rear subrails? It looks similar to the way Rolf did his. Yes?

    Thanks everyone,

I always do them the same 1/8 flat with 1x2 tubing. This is the fourth one I have done like this and it works really well

then tie it into a smooth transition with the old subrails.

  20. What's the purpose of the gusset on the spring cross member? Shouldn't it be on the
bottom or top, direction of load??

Well its cut 3" subtle but a heck of alot better than stock. Big thanks to minenameisnotpete "Pete" for the extra hands and eyes and muscles etc tonight. We started at 6 and before we new it it went from nice stocker, to a gay tub, to a Hot Rod. Now the fun will begin with all the fixins and stichin it back together
