I bought a kit years ago to use when removing door handles. If I still have it (if I can find it) you can have it if you want.

How are you gonna trim your doors? Pull the skins down or cut them in the peak?

Should you need any more body parts, I know where there are 10 or 12 of those trucks just sitting, rusting away. They're all for sale and they're all in one spot.

  16. glad to see you getting 'er back on the road man... did you ever figure out a seat belt configuration? lookin good!

hey dan. i`m gonna cut the inside of the door without cuttting the skin, slide it up 3 inches and trim the bottom. does that make sense??

I think this color would be perfect on that truck. I took this pick this year at the frog follies.

Makes perfect sense, just need to see a step by step tutorial. I recently scored an S10 from my nephew and I'm going to put the original cab and bed from Courtland's truck on it now that we've upgraded. We were talking tonight about if it would look stupid unchopped but sectioned.

Anybody seen this on a '54 or another AD truck? We can chop it later once we figure out how to do the corner glass. I've been told things but never seen it where they sink the glass. Can't chop them, they're tempered.

So freakin cool. I never get to see anyone or do anything any more so looking at stuff here is all I get these days....

I love it. I have been working on the bug but everytime I fix one leak it springs another. This winter I should get a chance to get it all done. You'll have built a truck, wrecked it, and built a whole new one in the time it took me to fix a few leaks.

henry29-- that truck is sexy as hell.

danimal--i always try to do the step by step thing but, i usually just go at it and get er done.

scooby--i am looking at being driveable by bubbas or your spring meet. paint is planned for this spring too. its gonna be white. i`m thinking silver roof but, i dunno. money is still really tight.

Looks like you could have let it rust a little bit longer and had 3" off the bottom! I've got a set just like that if you want something worse to start with! Maybe I'd best do them first to practice on.

I need some more of those sawzall blades, too!

they were actually the best doors that i had...don`t forget where we live... haha

the ticket to keeping the cuts straight with the sawzall is clamping a straight peice of angle where you cut. it makes for a good guideline. i actually used a cut-off on most of this door.
