Its 50 Sedan. 49s had no gas door and its definitley not a 51 dash. I would think its been sectioned about the amount that is missing from the doors. Just a hunch

Might be an easy build, might be a huge can of worms.... be interesting to find out why they gave up before you buy.
I sure hope they wern't going to put that cordoba front end on it...

Looks like a can of worms to me, why was the project abandoned in the first place?

No expert on these cars, but I see the exposed trunk hinges that I thought were only 49. It really doesn't matter 49 or 50, if ya like it get it. Lottsa work ahead however, plenty left undone, may be why it's not finished and for sale. Nothin ventured-nothin gained!! Sic'em!!-Sololobo

  9. Looks like a terrible chop, granted I'm not studying it too close, but it looks crooked side to side in the rear view and too flat in all the others.

But if you want to just lop the top off entirely, I have a convertible donor I'd let go cheap.

the top is fu@$@ its a caddy power sunroof and all the welds are huge and booger.

    it needs a new top

it's got another set of uncut doors, a hood and the correct trunk.

    he wanted $2500

i told him to call me when he wants it out of his yard.

it's on a chev frame but has a cool tuck n roll wrap around rear seat.

    I THINK.!!

    it's full of coon poop.

yeah looks like a botched 50 ford to me. could be a fun car but 2500 is way way way too much to pay for it. for 500 bux it could be a fun project.

Coon poop? That right there should be a sign. That's just about the worst smell in the world, and I'm not exaggerating. He should pay you $2500 to take it off his hands!

I would only go $500. Other than parts it looks like a bunch of kids got tired of trying ideas and moved on to another shit box.
If you had another shoebox the parts would help. You would come off way cheaper doing it right with a better car.

  20. $2500, with a little poking around you could buy a stock driver... even one with two doors.

I think you'd be better off spending more cash and getting something thats more together and not so hacked.. unless you enjoy fixing other peoples terrible work. then go for it.

I think 500 is a fair deal. 2500 should come with at least a reach around

 Find yourself another '50 Ford in better shape the build would be a lot easier. If he'll take under $500. and you want and can fix the bodywork maybe. Myself, I would never buy a section car just don't like them. A '50 Ford with a chopped top layed back pillars, low with a Flathead now your talking.

If you are up for opening a large can of worms and taking on a big project consider this old hotrod. It is in an old salvage yard in central Illinois.

    Nail head buick engine
    3spd on the floor
    bucket seats
    frenched headlights
    frenched buick tail lights
    shaved door handle
    louvered hood
    $750.00
