My Dad sent me this i thought I'd share. http://www.classiccar.co.nz/Members/siteadministrator/my-videos/1932-ford-promo-film/view?b_start=60
I can't believe this thread only has 100 hits in over 3 months. Maybe if the ladies had shorter skirts and some tats more folks would check it out. Even when Ryan posted it in '07 less than 1000 hits.
Great footage. Typical female driving...parking in the middle of the damn road! KIDDING...hahaha Did y'all notice the wood burning stove in the Service Manager's (?) office? Awesome. Also, the coachbuilt (I think), sport coupe in the showroom?
Definetly shows how different the car buying public was then as to now. Safety features were how many square inches of braking surface and how many roller and ball bearings the car had. Hell, the average car buyer today probably wouldn't know what bearings are. They'd be more interested in how many cup holders and tv screens the thing had. Thanks for sharing!
I think somebody else posted the same video, a few months ago, from the youtube site http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNAele2PHZc
Thats very cool. I saw a few A Model Sport Coupes in there too. Mine had those stupid things over the tires too? I took them off asap though. Kevin
Even better, in my humble opinion: "Mr. Firestein has. . .built an organization of trained men who know how to serve." Mr. Firestein is my kinda guy Nice to see this one again. . .
