Sioux Falls? Must have been heading out to Husets.

Never raced there, but if they went up to Huron for the Fair races, during that time, I might have "bumped into" them.

They went to Huron a few times. Lake county speedway and Husets every week. Brookings had a track at that time too. He raced till 1974. Then he got into streetrods. My brother has lots of pictures from the racing days.

Man, those were some fun times. Raced around Pierre/Miller area during the mid-late 60s time frame. The State fair races were a blast, mods, supers, sprints and all kinda stock cars. I'd love to see more pics.

  12. Have posted these quite awhile back, but see no reason not to bring them out again. This was my Unc's Hot Rod circa 1952? Member of the North Florida Roadster Club. Would give my left nut to have it today.

I thought these were all cool shots. I took a few and others did too. I hope they are all appropriate for the thread. The last one is questionable, but I thought it fit the title "Cool Picture"

Anyway,as many would have already rekognised this was at Zombies cc Drag n Shop, obviously i didnt took this pic i think was Rick Hoving or at least i got it from his fotki pge, props to him and his great kollection of pics.
And if anybodys got any updates on this radikal ride i would very much appreciate it, as im lookin for it ever since, late 2006?,

    How funny! Couldnt believe it!
After postin last one i did a quick googlin to look for the corvair and a link
to the HAMB came right up! It was the Zombies cc Drag-n-Shop bbq 2007 show coverage thread,
which turned out to be the show were those other pics were taken also, and not by rick hoving as i said earlier but by Zombies man himself Kustomike!
I grabbed the other corvair pics from that thread to re-post'em here, and also those i already had as they were best quality as you can see.:D
Hope this will not upset anyone! and hey! Still lookin for hows the car looking today! if the owner/builder is lookin at this it might be a good time to show the world that finished or almost finished piece of rollin art!

Here is what I consider to be a great custom corvair. This was done by GM as a Super Spyder Concept Car.
