The best part is when no one sees you cry after smashing the hell out of your finger, or when you head butt your lift.

Here I thought the best part of workin on a hot rod is getting out of the house away from the ol' lady.

The second time I used a needle. Slid the tip sideways across my eye, caught the metal, and pulled it on out.

The first ride after improvments - changes.

Nothing is leaking & everything seems good.

    Then the drink.

Oh yeah, been there, done that. How 'bout going to the ER at 0230 (that's 0-dark-thirty, for those that don't get military time) because you've flash burned your eyeballs welding? ER waiting rooms are very, very brightly lit, I can assure you...

For me it's the days where everything actually goes right! :) You know what I mean? Some days everything you touch seems to go wrong, and I've learned to just walk away at times. :( But then, every once in awhile, you have a great day where you really feel like you've accomplished something. To me those are the days that make me want to get up early and head back out to the shop again the next day. And of course after a number of those good days, you finally get to fire up that project for the first time . . . that's a great day!!:D

Denise, you're welcome in my shop anytime. I might even get something done if you were there. :)

My father has used a magnet to get metal out of his eye. You might try that before going to the eye doctor.

  27. The best part is the freedom of building your ride the way you want, sharing your knowledge with others, listening to the rump of the cam, getting the sensation from being pinned back in the seat when your running it through the gears, the smell of burning rubber and 114 octane fuel, the usual thumbs up from dudes and dudettes when you pass by,the thrill of loading up the family and going for a cruise,I guess it's the whole mixture of all of these thing that make me happy and keeps me in the hobby. What a great reward for such a neat hobby>>>>.

  28. The best part for me was finishing (?) my Studebaker truck , going to the 7-11 on my first day . When I startred it up to leave I set off the theft alarm on the car next to me . THAT was cool .

smashing the peddle to the floor for the very first time and feeling the tires grab and lift the front a little, and listening to the motor at full song
