You could've bought one in 1946 for $5000, all gassed up and ready to go.

 

They were/are working on an A26 in Lancaster, OH.

 

I wish they were working on a flyable Martin B-26. I want to fly one before I kick the bucket in memory of my brother who was shot down in one over Belgium 1944.
