I feel like I am really running out of room here. I dont know how you coupe guys do it.

just picked it up two weeks ago . and heres progress of a week

 

This is what I am messing with at the moment.I threw in a before shot so you guys can see how it looked when I got it.

 

Here's what three years has got me on my Johnny Cash Special.

 

My RPU in early mock up. Sould have suspension in a couple weeks.

 

Heres mine. A long way to go.

 

Almost ready to pull it apart.

 

Here's mine running as stock, (once sorted out a few problems) till i pull apart, then it'll be chopped, channeled and running a hemi

That is one great hot rod. Nothing better than a full fender 28-29 with Americans. Reminds me of my youth.

Mines a 29 Pk Up. Have one as a dailyride, and this one will be a rod with a 2.5 AMC 4banger/5sp. Gas is Hi and Speed limit is low

Well, I'll call mine "in the works" since it doesn't run. I bought it here on the HAMB and just got it delivered last week. It ran for 20 miles and left me stranded. These are the PO's photos, since I haven't had an opportunity to take my own.

 

Rathbone, that is an awsome little coupe!! the stance is perfect for a chaneled car, who built it originally?

 

I bought it from Brad Hamilton. He goes by Hambone 1 here. It's not channeled, its heavily Z'd front and rear but it's a high boy. That leaves a nice amount of interior room. Now if I get rid of the boat seats and put in something serious it should be reasonably comfortable. It was painted using a brush, which doesn't look as good as it sounds but it's nothing that can't be remidied.

 

I just scored this one. Lots to consider, steering, frame mod, brakes, and wheels.
Got the engine to use (1958 fresh overhauled 283)
Lots to learn - again as its been some time in the bone yards.
Built several back in the 60's and 70's.
