Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Jeff Norwell, Jul 14, 2008.

  1. All these verbal hand jobs for your supreme effort here! Enhorabuena profunda!

But I know as an artist you have to put something controversial in there, those radiator hoses have got to go back on your water heater. Ugly like a bucket of armpits!

  2. It sucks! Now, if you want to get some ideas on how to change it to a good lookin truck, just feast your eyes on my old 33....now here's perfection! Keep trying, Jeff...you'll get it eventually.

    Jeff,
We fabbed an aluminum neck for the water crossover,
and the water pump to allow us to use a straight piece
of hose because we couldn't find a store bought one.
    Alex
ps...I love that braided fuel line, I'm using the same stuff.

Well first I have to say Jeff certainly deserves a hot rod with a tube axle out front similar to Henry's in 1937 and painted rear drums like Henry's in 1957, I'm sure this may get a rise out of a few great hot rodders.

Jeff became very fustrated during the build of his pick up as the prevous builder appeared to run into some sort of problems, however; I do not know the previous builder or have been introduced to the 'gentleman'......

During this time I was looking for some art work for my little, unknown, still unknown hot rod company which I play around with on the side to fulfill my addiction to hot rods both plated for the street and on the 1320.

Well Jeff came with some great art during which time he approached me regarding this build and problems he was having with the progress, what was explained to Jeff as a near finished product. Too make a long story short, there are plently of pictures of the finished product before the arrival in my little back yard garage and holy shit man, we were a long away from being finish. I don't think these pictures will be aired and should they be?? The past is the past !!!!

The frame was excellent (different builder), but everything else had to be blown apart, cut out, disassembled, as Jeff really began to panic as I sent Jeff numerous progress pic's. Well it certainly looked like we were going in reverse, because we were !!!!! As I said to Jeff, I am not a "Roy Brizzo" or "LITTLEMAN" and never will be, however; I will build it to the best of my ability in my spare time when I am not at my real job and build it as if it was for myself.

Jeff and myself bashed around numerous idea's, front nerf bumper to compliment the original rear bumper (which the previous builder did not use), roll pans under the box instead of flat steel which I cut off, flat floor in the box instead of three levels which would show off his "tiger cut maple" wood, and why extend the tail lights and exhaust tips away from the rear roll pan. The work began and 8 months later it is were it is today. The headers, well they changed style during the build using truck, flathead, oil canasters for the collectors just like the old timers did in the 50's with the painted rear 1957 Ford 9" rear brake drums.

This hot rod is Jeff's vision, plain and simple, which exemplifies his art work !!!

Smoke them rear hydes, shift that cog cluster in your gow job as it is a goer and don't be feathering the clutch, enjoy buddy !!!!!

Hey Franco, maybe you need a starter for the big show down next year on the road from the Salt Lick Restaurant? Wait until Jeff eats, he just may not fit into the cab.... He He He ......

One question: where did you get the fuel block and the pressure gauge? Thanks.
