Just pulled this 28 jordan from the bushes. Anyone have a clue what it is worth? It has a straight 8 engine and sucide rear doors. ANY HELP APPRECIATED. Thanks Kelly
Whatever it brings on eBay over $200 a ton. A Jordan is pretty scarce, but a guy with a hardon for one is also pretty scarce. I should add it's not even included in my Old Cars Price Guide Magazine, but most of them now cover like 1930-2000, every second or third issue they cover 1900-1930 cars, you may find some kind of guide there. Figure it's in #5 condition, it looks like there's enough left a guy could restore it if he wanted.
I say: Chop and channel it over an extended Model A frame( by all means don't box the frame), strip the fenders and hood, drop a SBC and 350 turbo hydro in it, put some red '35 wires on it and start a "Rat Rod " limo service. The local high school psycho-billies will love it come prom time But what do I know?
Id put it up for sale at a reasonable price or trade for the body or project you want if it doesnt sell do what you want with it.
In 1985, a 28 Jordan 8cyl 5Passenger sedan in unrestored condition was worth about $3200 and $22,000 restored. This from the first edition of The Standard Catalog of American Cars 1805-1942.
Looks like the money is in the radiator shell, if it was a Playboy Roadster it would be a different story. eBay it, the market will deside its value, its location will also effect its value. Scrap is scrap these days...........but save the radiator shell.
sorry guys, i had one 2 many....But on the cover of Hot rod pin-ups there is a 2 door sedan that kinda looks cool.....i say hot rod it! dont scrap!
2" thick glass, pig iron in the doors and body panels, solid tires and ironclad wheels and you got the baddest armoured limosine this side of 1930
See this for one of the most famous car advertisements ever. http://www.charleswelty.com/authors/jordan.htm
screw that, cut out the second set of doors, shorten the frame, drop in the mill of Your choice and chop the unholy hell out of it and You would have an official Hot Rod. and a rare one at that.
I go to the hemmings forum and ask those cats first before I dump a "what's it worth post" on my second day.
Buddy of mine found one of these it made a unique ride. It's kind of a niche vehicle. He sold it to a guy that just had to have a Jordan. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it!
Better yet, chop off the back from the front then remove the front and put the back to the front with suicide doors. Gives it a sorta long 5 window look
Odd brands of cars are getting harder to find. Try locating a Jordan club and ask them about it. Get a title for it if you don't have one, somebody might want it for $$$$ with a title..
Hey there buddy let me tell you something that dam car has been in the weeds for 50 years didn't figure two years changed anything.. By the way you should me if you still have the car. Thanks
If I'd found it it would have been on eBay and gone to the first good cash offer in.. I dunno, 60 days tops, depends how hard it is to find a Jordan guy who has money.
