Here's a few shots I took back when I was a kid. Fremont Dragstrip was a short bike ride away...

Here's a Rod Stuckey car down here. I don't think Steve Thomas will mind me posting it.

I remember after a match race in the early-mid 60's at our local strip these guys were struggling
to get the Willys on the transporter and hollered for some help pushing so a couple of us started to push.
I proceeded to bust the fiberglass tailgate in half. One of the crew hollered"The boss is going to kill me!"
    I slowly wandered away.

Ron Bizio's P/U was one of my all time favorites. That truck in 1968-69 served as one of the last legal, traditonal bodied blown gassers that could beat the newly arising style of blown gasser that was more a left hand drive funny car then anything else. Bizio was about to embark on the funny car wars in late 1970, but a big sponsorship deal fell through. So it never materialized. The truck was sold to some brothers who ran it with a blown BB Chevy, painted it metal flake root beer brown and dubbed it the Mind Bender. Bizio died a few years later.

Bunch of us firing a FED in Phoenix this weekend and the question arose................ Who ran the first blower on a dragster?

And don't wait for me to give the answer as I don't know.

Thats like asking who had the first car with flames painted on it or who was the first guy to get Paris Hilton in the sack...
No one knows. Anyone who "thinks" he has the answer is just guessing.
Thats just the way it is...:)

Very interesting Mazooma1, even though that car is a 3 wheel RED, it has Kent Fuller written all over it.

Yeah, Ross...hopefully someone will be able to give us some backgound on this thing.
I was really involved back in that era, yet I have never seen that thing before today...a real mystery machine
