Is there a thread that shows where the cuts were for the chop? That's a great job! I've chopped one, and I know how hard they are to do.
it was done by Bill Hines in Salina KS at the Lead Sled Spect. Its gonna be KCD next month as a tech artical wrote by the great Jerry Weesner!
1960 Merc. i found em in a barn on a turkey farm in a dam box with 100 other hub cabs the only pair and they are 14s!
That is a beautiful profile. The aerials are an unmistakable Hines trademark. Congratulations! Keep us posted.
Can't wait to see that! Beautiful car! Those straight B pillars look perfect, they really fit the profile of the car.
i asked him to put the arials in the front of the rear fender like in Jesses' 54 but he wouldnt do itsaid they look better in the front fender
well its all in primer! gonna get the bumpers and grill back in it this week and hopefuly to glass this coming up week end! cant wait
Dane: Saw the article and really liked the method that Bill Hines used on your car. Unfortunately, the Weesner article was not very detailed. I would REALLY like to do the same to my '50 Fleetline. Did you or anyone else take any additional pictures of the chop in progress showing what was done to the A and B pillars? Also would like to see something showing the work done to the window frames once the top was lowered. Any additional photos that you could post showing the chop in progress would be much APPRECIATED!! Your car looks great! Tom
