The body raises with small hidden winches, it stays up just by grvity. I have a pole which mounts from the chassis to the underside of the dash. This is just a safety for while it is up at shows. I will be using a hood latch to hold the body in the down position. Exactly how is yet to be detirmined.

Jim, that is one bitchin' coupe!! Hope you went with the weed burner pipes like the Orange crate, maybe a little longer. That would date that rig in the early 60s for sure. Anyway Great job, OLY

You never heard that old saying "you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear" did you? Good thing, the rest of us would be deprived if you had. I'm continually amazed at your "get 'er done" way of tackling a project.

sorry , no updates. BDS made me a blower manifold and didnt allow room for a distributor. I had it all together and was trying to get it running in bare steel. now its all back apart and they are making me a new manifold.

Well, after hours of thought, these are what I came up with for headers. im hoping to sneak some short mufflers in underneath with some hidden caps in the turn-outs.

I love the new headers, it gives the car a whole new freakishly nasty attitude.

After seeing the car last Saturday in person, all I can say is "WOW". The headers look great, the grille may take a little getting used to. Different but looks good. Had a great time on Saturday. Thanks again Jim. LEN
