I did a search already and I didn't find an answer to my question. What year did Grancor start making heads? I pick up a pair today and would like some info on them. Any help out there? Here they are:

Thanks Sam. That answers that. Was there an article about Grancor in TRJ?

    Tommy,

That is a great piece. I saw that on another post. Being sent in '48 and it mentioning Grancor heads on the side bar I would guess they were in production then. I am trying to base my car on 1948 and I just want to make sure these fit.

Saw at 2-carb Grancor intake at BTTF's for something over $500. Bought one there myself about ten years ago. Matches my heads.

I couldn't believe it when I saw them. Some guy was selling them from his trunk at gears and ears. I only got them because you weren't there!!

I plan on putting them on the coupe. Just one more rare part wont hurt.

The roadster plans on having stock heads...someday.

I have a set of pre 49s, also, a 3x2 for the later model. Would like to trade the 3x2 for a early model.

Does your late-model 3-2 have the square bolt pattern for the middle carb? I usta have one of them. Was told it was "rare", but that's actually the only kind of post-49 intake I've ever seen. I think the earlier intakes are way rarer.

Ha HA HA :D I would have bought them too, Great to see them going to a Good home and not on ebay or something. Did you find anything else:D. How about a set of ALLSTATE heads?
I have both early and late intakes and my coupe runs the later 3x2 and does have the square carb in the center, Lincoln I was told but fit a 97 on the patter with a little fudge-in.. :D I was told it was rear as Hens Teeth, but seen a bunch of them and more then the "only a hand full built" NOT!:D

Found a box of about 30 old style hose clamps for $10. Oh, and corn, lots of it.

ALLSTATE would be a nice find. Those are on my list with KOGEL and dual plug ROOF heads. Someday.

Yep, center is 4 bolt. Had another that was 3 bolt, but carbs set on angle. Probably marine.
I have a friend that has a 4bbl, can't get him to turn loose.
