That gasser Buick really is WILD! Never thought that it could be done that way! Bet it does not have Dynaslow?! :D

SuperFleye, Your brother's Pontiac's roofline has great lines! Last time when I saw it, (at OSW, surprise) I just had to look that car from every angle and it sure looks good! Maybe I'll see that car again in august..? Chances are!

Yeah! And all you need is a set of Firestone www's .....
It's amazing how the wheels can make a car look totally different :)

  9. That Pontiac is just one example of what the Swedes and Danish do with "our" junk cars. Thats why I hate when people bitch about shipping shit out. There is 0 drama over there, everyone is cool, everyone helps each other, man....just great people. You may see a few bad cars at a show....but not like here where you see 3 good ones amongst many.
Stop player hate'n....we are all the same! Hot rodders... Hate on the people giving you the stink eye for driving something in prime, looking funny, or some other reason. There are plenty of peeps to hate, hahahaaa.

Y'know, looking from the UK i've gotta say i admire all the scandinavian guys n gals a lot........they have a real nice scene going on,they've been there since the beginning of the 'trad' hot rod n custom revival, but more than that if swedens' anything like norway (where a friend lives)the comitment to something like rodding there has to be full-on,as its' really not a cheap way to go with prices for getting parts etc,and they all seem to have a great 'can do/do it yourself' attitude to getting stuff done which is real commendable. Keep up the great work folks:)

my theory is that most of these cars have been purchased overseas, and it can't be cheap to get them shipped over...so these guys make the most of what they got and do them righ tthe first time, and don't butcher cars for the sake of it.

Killer pics dude, I dig the hell out of that '57 Linc

I think partly right, like you say cars/parts can be difficult/expensive to source.....but also, some of the regulations over in europe can be quite tough (in UK the mot test,i assume the germans have to meet TUV standards, which is a rigourous test)so throwing together a car isnt an option as such.......could any norweigian guys tell me tho,had heard these kinda tests didnt apply to pre-1950 cars over there,is that true?Seemed a bit strange to hear but y'never know.

Both are right, but yes, any alteration to a car has to IMPROVE it, and in theory a modified car only needs to comply with laws from when it was first registered. But you still need to pass a rigorous inspection to get plates, and you actually have to send an application in advance explaining what you're going to do to your car. So I doubt a rust bucket held together with duct tape and string would get very far here... (If someone wanted to do that to such a scarce and precious item in the first place)

I've heard the swedes are a bit more sloppy, they have a few rats there. But they might not be legal, for all I know.

I was hoping you were going to tell us that you just plain had too much good taste to let any rat rods near your show...

Great pictures, and looks like a great venue. That red panhead looks like some of Robin's handiwork?
