SBC engine temperature...what is too hot?

    Yes, that's the way I used to run it. I had a few overheating issues then (actually puking coolant), so I added the electric fan to run during stop and go traffic.

    Since this is my daily driver, I'm in traffic too much to remove the fan completely, even though I know it doesn't do much good at speed. But it has improved the cooling at low speeds or idling, so it's worth it to me.

    Guys, I really appreciate your help on this. I was really worried about the temp and ready to scrounge some money together for a radiator, but you have put my fears to rest.

    I'll still keep a really close eye on it, and I'll borrow my buddy's IR temp gun on a hot day to double-check the actual temp.
