DANG!!! You folks are stupendous! Here's a Woodward Ave. T-shirt design I'm inking now. This and another should be printed by the end of the month.

    40% Hot Rod + 60% Dragster = 100% Bad Ass!

Competition coupes were unusual to say the least.
A chopped up rod body on a dragster chassis.
The 60's produced some cool machinery!

The photo is the mystery car that I used for inspiration.

I've thought about posting in these threads for a while, couldn't find the Friday thread a few weeks back though (hence my PM to you J.Norwell).

don't know if you guys are interested in Australian stuff. Here's a few shots from a big wrecking yard I found a few years ago and went back and visited last year:

  9. Nate....Very cool, definitely not goofy...this is just the kind of thing that kids see at the market and may be their only exposure to the car hobby, rodding etc. Those same kids may just get bit by the same bug we all were and someday become HAMBers...When I was a little tyke, my parents we not car enthusiasts, but they were artists and as such, would always buy me the latest Cartoons magazine and encouraged me to draw cars....Now I do it for a living and I love what I do. If it wasn't for Cartoons being sold at my parent's choice of grocery store, I may not have ever become a car designer...Nate, you may never know who you will influence with your work here.

The rim is made out of spited steel tube and tire on it is 1" solid O-ring rubber.
