Dave, Yeah, the Gretsch and EchoSonic don't really fit well in the Model T. Ted, you gonna be out there on Sun? Good deal, I think we're gonna be set up with some stuff to sell. You get anywhere with that roadster pickup? Hey Mike..you already have a gal that puts up with your shit. I have no idea how you found someone like that? Tim MBL
Did you get fenders with it as well? They seem like they might be kind of hard to find if not? If you got all that type of stuff, it would make a nice Street Rod that you certainly don't see every day!
I hope I get a 1914 Ford to match your '32. Nice find, better girlfriend. As said above, marry that girl. Damn, lets hope you HAMBr's have some decent daughters.. I'll make sure I have bucket seats, so there's no "funny business".
Yeah, I have to vouch for Tim here. I've met Mandy. Very nice girl. Hard to believe she's related to Jon
your so old. see you guys sunday morn. btw that grill jon gave me is gonna fit with extensive cutting. but it should look nice. peace
Congrat's Tim ! Your a lucky man, and I'm very happy for you and Mandy. I have a HotRod Girl too ...... as you know Can't wait to see the pictures of the Coupe coming togather.
Sweeeet! Now don't work on it too much and make here mad that you're not spending time with her, she's a keeper. Congrats!
Best BD gift a guy could get;a cherry 5 window rod body. I'll also pile on a vote to marry her. In fact, once the Rod is up and running, it'd make an appropriate wedding car. Maybe for a wedding gift, she'll send out all your suspension, etc. to be chromed!
No fenders with this body. Just what you see in the pics. But there's really no danger of this becoming a street rod..no offense...it'll be hot rod all the way. I think it will look good chopped, but not too much. Just 2". I have seen some done like this and they looked right on the money. Glenn, we'll post pics as we get to it. Tim MBL
MBL.... Check out the Rumblers NYC website. Roger Miret has a '32 Pontiac, chopped a couple inches with a '38 truck grill. There's some small crappy pics and video of it on the site. http://rumblersnyc.f-n-b.net/indexFrameset.php?toLoad=gallery I've seen it in some magazines too, but can't find any other pics of it right now. They always list it as a '32 Chevy. My '32 Oldsmobile body is very similar too, except for the bodylines.
Some things never change. Cars today all look alike and the cars of yesterday did to. Seems that most of the 32's had the same shape no matter what make. Nice Bday present!
Hey Good Ol Boy THanks for that link. It seems that my build will be similar. I actually have a 38 Ford truck grille hanging in the shop that I was planning on using. I was wondering if it would look ok. Looks cool. The 2" chop will be just enough for me. By the way....Nice Olds! Tim MBL
Looks like a great start. I love the early to mid 30's fisher bodies. The wood can be a pain in the ass but in the end I think its worth it. Its a lot better than what I started with good luck with the build here's my 34 olds.
tim your girl friend is a keeper!!! thats sweet brother..gonna look good with that caddy mill too...see you at the swap meet...dave
Well....happy birthday Tim. And congrats, on both the gal and the car. Can't wait to see that car when it is finished. Sounds like a sweet project, especially with the Caddy mill. I'm starting a new one right now with a '33 Pontiac 2dr sedan.
Mannnnnnnnn, my birthday was Saturday the 31st and all I got was a Car pencil sharpener from my daughter, and from the wife, I got a pillow (which she is already using as her own), dinner, and something that rhymes with "moral tex". Happy Birthday man.
