here's mine right before I ripped it down to the frame...

I may be losing the moons in favor of a "real" rim...

That is if I can find something I like, I'm not sure the moons are going to flow with the shiny paint

In 60 I had a set on my 34 Ford that were louvered 2 and 3 stagered centered between the center and the outside edge parallel to the outside edge, Painted from the center with a stright edge on one side, fanning out to the edge about 3 in. on the outside edge. Hard to explain, but looked like they were turning, standing still. Wish I had a picture.

Here's an item from the "New Products" section of Hot Rod Magazine, February 1956 - and a Moon-related "bonus" photo, since we're on the subject of that fine company.

I have been running these on my panel since '94. Didn't see them that often back then. Rodshop

I love the moon discs . I have a set on my 1940 chevy ,one day when I was making some carbon fiber parts I also made some carbon fiber discs. They also look great. I am going to swap them now and then, for a differen look.

I'd like to bump this old thread for more spun aluminum hubcap pics. I'm thinking about them for my truck.

I think the snap on style looks great. The screw heads on the screwed style look like warts on a good looking woman.

Screw on Moon discs are OK on some cars, but snap on Moon discs are FAKE.
If you can't be bothered to get the real thing and screw them on, get something else.

You could also get those as small as 1/8th the scale size which is roughly 1.750" in diameter...:rolleyes:
