Lawrence KS, Swap Meet

The annual rite of passage known as the Lawrence Swap Meet is this weekend. Any HAMBER's going?

 

Wish I could but I will be out of town.

 

You midwestern HAMBers are killin' me. There has got to be more people than just my friend Jason and I going to this party. I don't have much $$ left after spending a buttload on my '55 this spring, but I will be there for the good times and interesting sites. Also a great place to network with fellow young rodders.

 

where in Lawrence?

 

It's at the 4-H Fairgrounds. The first exit North off of 10 hwy. (Harper Street)

Kenny, it's easy to find. On the right just as you get into town. I always have a space on the right side as you go in against the fence. All HAMB guys are welcome to stop by, 5110 I think.

Hmmmm... I just drove 3 hrs from KC to Pittsburg/Parsons KS last night to pick up an engine, slept for 2 hours, and an mack at work! I'm running out of money, fast!

I will be there for sure never have missed it even though it rains every year. Always some good scores to, I will be on the far south east corner my 34 will be there stop by and say hi.

Yes Hail is over, Lawrence got quite a bit of damage last night, but not near as much as the KC area. It wouldn't be the swap meet with out a mod bog pit.

 

Is it worth going to on Friday or do most of the vendors only show up on Saturday?

 

Saturday Morning is the big day Friday nite is when there are good buys though.

 

I'll be there, on Saturday... Looking for 390 parts for the Model A.

 

I know a guy local (well, Ottawa) that has a COMPLETE 3x2 for a 390. Found him on Craigslist...
